Sutton Foster Files for Divorce From Husband Ted Griffin After Nearly 10 Years of Marriage
Sutton Foster and Ted Griffin, a Hollywood couple, have decided to end their marriage.
Foster, a two-time Tony Award winner, and Griffin, a screenwriter and producer, released a joint statement confirming their split.
"After much thought and consideration, we have mutually decided to divorce," the statement read. "This decision was not made lightly, and we remain committed to our friendship and the co-parenting of our daughter."
Foster and Griffin were married in 2014 and have one child together, Emily Dale Griffin, who was born in 2017.
Sources close to the couple say that the decision to divorce was amicable and that they remain on good terms.
"They've been having some issues for a while, but they tried to work through them," one source said. "Ultimately, they decided that it was best to go their separate ways."
Foster, 47, is a Broadway star who has won two Tony Awards for her performances in "Thoroughly Modern Millie" and "Anything Goes."
Griffin, 52, is a screenwriter and producer who is best known for his work on the films "Ocean's Eleven" and "The Hangover." He also directed the 2012 film "Forgetting Sarah Marshall."
Foster and Griffin's divorce is the latest in a string of high-profile celebrity splits in recent months.
