iPadOS 18 Requires Newer iPad Models, Drops Support for 2018 iPad

iPadOS 18 System Requirements

Apple has released the system requirements for iPadOS 18, and the latest operating system requires at least an Apple A12 chip. This means that some older iPad models will not be able to upgrade to iPadOS 18.

iPadOS 18 Supported Devices

Here is the list of iPadOS 18 supported devices:

• iPad Pro (all models)
• iPad Air (3rd generation and later)
• iPad (5th generation and later)
• iPad mini (5th generation and later)

Devices Dropped from Support

The following iPad models will not be able to upgrade to iPadOS 18:

• iPad Pro (10.5-inch) (2017)
• iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (2017)
• iPad (6th generation) (2018)
• iPad mini (4th generation) (2015)
